Yosane Mayu ‘Cherry Blossoms’ – Profiles

Yosane: Something caught your fancy, Lady?
Mayu: I was thinking··· How would Yosane look with pink flowers in your hair.
Yosane:  And why would you think that?
Mayu: I wondered if Yosane would look like a cherry blossom tree.

* * *

YOSANE
A Lady Samurai
Family Name: None/unknown

Age: 20
Eyes: Deep sea green
Hair: Brown-black

Yosane is an accomplished samurai who came into the service of Lord Shirasaki, after a chance meeting where he saved her life. She vowed to repay his kindness. The turmoils of the time led to an attack on the Shirasaki House, and only a handful escaped — those included Yosane and Lady Mayu. Yosane upholds her vow through serving Lady Mayu, and despite becoming fugitives, they give each other hope to continue on. Yosane’s past is somewhat hazy, which often gives Lady Mayu amusement in prying it out of her.

LADY MAYU
A Noble’s Daughter
Family Name: Shirasaki

Age: 19
Eyes: Dark brown
Hair: Rich black

Lady Mayu (or Mayu-dono) is a daughter of Lord Shirasaki. She is elegant and well-versed in the arts, as befits her upbringing. However, she is also playful and overly curious, and would often surprise Yosane. Lady Mayu feels the burden of being the sole survivor to the Shirasaki name, but has come to rely on Yosane as her faithful ally and, gradually, friend. She is not one to step down from a challenge.

Mayu-dono has a great imagination. I’d love to see how she’s picturing Yosane right now (with pink flowers all over her long hair). They are looking at each other so sweetly with an air of playfulness. It looks like they have a lovely relationship. Could this be Mayu-dono’s trademark Yosane-teasing-hand-mode? xD

The characters themselves are quite beautiful too; Mayu-dono’s hairstyle is so pretty and lady-like and they both have beautiful eyes. Their kimonos are so elegant and the colors are stunning. I love it, great job!

Mayu-dono is too sweet and cheeky. Poor Yosane who has to put up with her antics! Mm, I think that’s her favourite hand pose, but she mustn’t use it too often – or specifically on Yosane – else it’d give it away.

They do have lovely long hair in those days. Blue-chan’d love it. And hmm, blue-chan and kohai-chan have been giving me all these ideas.. must do something! *scuttles away*
